Australian Oromo Community Association in Victoria Inc

The Australian Oromo Community Association in Victoria Inc. is affiliated with The Oromo Women's group, Oromiya Soccer Club, Funeral Scheme Group and Oromo Radio Broadcasting Unit and is intended to be a non-profit, non-political Welfare Community organization.

Inclusive and vibrant Oromo Community

Mission

To facilitate the needs of Oromo people and forge partnerships with relevant bodies

The principal aims and objectives of the Association

  • To carry out welfare services, promote, assist, encourage and strengthen the rehabilitation and the economic, social and cultural absorption of the Oromo in Australia

  • To facilitate and encourage Oromo refugees and migrants coming to Australia by rendering them assistance, social counselling, financial and other aid

  • To represent and advance the interests of the membership in any way the Association deems fit

  • To promote and organize social activities, such as sporting, excursions, cultural shows and other entertainments for the members and the Oromo people

  • To conduct and enhance education, research and development of Oromo and Oromo culture

  • To facilitate and enhance cultural exchange with other ethnic community organizations of Victoria

  • To facilitate and educate members and state Law in order to cultivate a law-abiding citizens
